Direct na zijn doorbraak in The Voice of Holland begon Sjors aan een ware zegentocht. Hij vestigde een record door in één seizoen maar liefst zeven keer op te treden in een telkens uitverkochte Kleine Zaal van Het Concertgebouw met Nederlandstalige chansons en nederpopnummers.
Vandaag de première op het International Film Festival Rotterdam van de documentaire ‘Banana Pancakes and the Children of Sticky Rice’ waar ik de muziek voor maakte.
‘When backpackers visit a small village in remote northern Laos in search of a traditional experience, the inhabitants of the village discover the attractions of the West. Two worlds meet at the crossroads of their respective desire; the one longing for authenticity, the other for modernity. In this micro-cosmos, their encounter leaves no one unchanged and tells the story of friendship and how we relate to others in a rapidly changing world.’
